EXP 2288
«EXP2288» is an infinite loop of a dystopian metropolitan horizon. It is wrapped around a tubular handmade sculpture.
Back when I worked as a mosaic artist, I had some rolls of brown Kraft paper lying around the house. When I needed to sketch out a sprawling cityscape for a new animation project, I opted for the traditional pencil-and-paper route, finding solace in the tactile feel of graphite on paper.
Using a variety of mediums: coloured penciles, markers, metallic markers, pencils, watercolours, and chalk ? I created a vibrant, upcycled cityscape on that large roll of Kraft paper.
For its structural base, I repurposed PVC pipes for the limbs, adorned with pieces of cut metallic hinges. Each component was meticulously crafted by hand, with hundreds of these pieces cut using pliers. The centerpiece of the structure is a wooden salad bowl, which I painted with acrylic paint to match the theme.
