Ice House in Autumn

I had originally set out to plein air paint a historical building on the grounds at Battlefield Park, but once I arrived the stark contrast of the red ice house and the light filtered through golden maples absolutely captured my heart. I opted to paint this scene instead, and I have no regrets in my choice. This plein air was done in one session in acrylic on canvas panel.
