I woke up early on the overnight BC ferry from Prince Rupert to Port Hardy and was greeted by this scene of the morning sun lighting up a patch of rugged West coast landscape. The beauty of that focused beam of light reflecting an almost neon green off the forest canopy inspired this painting.
