Memory of the Celtic Stones
Oil on Canvas (varnished for protection).
A place with a mystical allure, pulsating with the unique energy of ancient history, awaits the visitor. Nestled on a wooded hill known as "Ka?ena" (Duck), this locale boasts an array of massive stones strewn amidst the trees, creating an enchanting natural sanctuary. Legend has it that Master Jan Hus (1370-1415), a renowned Czech scholar, reformer, and preacher influenced by the teachings of John Wycliffe, once delivered a stirring speech to the common folk from atop one of these monumental rocks. His bold advocacy ultimately led to his tragic demise, as he was later condemned to the flames for his beliefs.
