Christmas Eve

Portland's Victorian architecture carries a breath of neatness that never ages, thanks to its location surrounded by forests and the ocean climate. In winter, the wind and snow wash away the hustle of travelers. People also inadvertently show a touch of their decent and melancholy side. Finally, the Christmas decorations add an exquisite layer of warmth. I traveled from far away and will go even further. After passing here on a long journey, this city soaked my heart with its contemplative temperament and the unique solitude it brought me.
