After a trip to the California coast, during which I spent copious amounts of quality time doing nothing more that sitting on rocks and staring out at he blue sky and endless Pacific ocean, I wanted to paint a picture of "profound simplicity", with little more than the beauty of the ocean and sky. The seagulls were ever present, and I added one for balance.
