This dramatic, atmospheric piece was based off of one of many coves in Maine where ocean and forest meet. There is less of a shift in values, allowing the jagged coastline and waves to blend and mix with the fog creeping in over the water. The vastness of both the coast and the ocean are represented here, as the viewer feels they could easily drift into the fog slowly encompassing the cliffs and forest.
