My anchor for this piece was the 1700's piece of silk damask, embroidered in the town of Tetouan in Morocco. Adding a round bowl and a "bouquet" of somber iridescent feathers completed the painting for me. The saturated colors and textures, along with the fingery arches of the feathers gave me joy.
