“Country Scene” depicts what one would see while traveling through a picturesque, bucolic land. The dirt road winding past the fields reminds the viewer of the connection we hold to the land that sustains us. This sense of place needs to be depicted to reaffirm our admiration of and, ultimately, our unity with the earth.
