Inspired by my trip to the Canyon Sainte-Anne in Quebec, the tranquility of “Evening Harmony” is reminiscent of Henry David Thoreau’s Walden, in which he marveled at the spiritual essence of nature. The atmosphere in this painting is created through the soft light of the setting sun emanating from behind the trees, bathing the scene in a gentle glow.
